How does VEEAM Replication work?
You receive your own private ESXi installation where you setup, connect and perform your Veeam Replication jobs. The frequency on when you choose to run your replication process is entirely up to you. Restoring or “failing over” depends upon the two different options detailed below.
Which option is right for you?
Option #1 – Standard Veeam Replication <Click inside the diagram for a larger image>
In this scenario, your ESXi installation is limited to 2GB in order to accommodate the Windows Veeam Proxy server. You connect to this ESXi installation and the Windows Veeam Proxy server hosted at Bit Refinery using your Veeam console.
Once connected, you perform replication as normal. In the event of an emergency, Bit Refinery staff can restore your servers into our main production environment.
Option #2 – Private Veeam Replication <Click inside the diagram for a larger image>
Using a dedicated VMware Enterprise host provided by Bit Refinery, you replicate your virtual machines as often as you like using a secure VPN tunnel and Veeam’s Replication product. Your VMs are powered down at our facility and can be started at any time if the need arises.
